UC Mandates Transgender Ideology Class This Fall
The University of California has launched a new mandatory SHAPE training program requiring all students to affirm transgender-related policies or face registration blocks if they fail the assessment.
The training defines misgendering, “dead-naming,” and objections to opposite-sex bathroom use as behaviors that can create a “hostile environment.” Although UC officials say students are not penalized for how they answer individual questions, they must still score 100% to avoid losing access to class registration.
This program as ideological coercion that punishes students who hold biblical or biological views on sex and gender.
IOC To Ban All Male Athletes from Female Sports
The International Olympic Committee is reportedly preparing to ban men who identify as women from all female Olympic events. The decision follows a science-based review conducted by the committee, which confirmed significant physical and athletic advantages of males, including those who undergo testosterone-suppression, over females. (Read our fact sheet that confirms a list of these advantages.)
The proposed rule would centralize eligibility standards, replacing the current patchwork of federation-by-federation testosterone limits. The change is expected to be officially announced early next year.
AAFP Promotes Puberty Blockers For Young Children
At its recent annual conference, the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) promoted so-called “gender-affirming puberty suppression” for minors, even suggesting that doctors prioritize a minor’s confusion with sex over parental concerns.
The session encouraged puberty blockers for children as young as nine while completely ignoring key medical risks such as loss of fertility and decreased bone density. (Read our fact sheet for a full list of medical risks.)
The AAFP is increasingly supporting gender ideology at the expense of rigorous scientific evidence, even as many countries and medical systems are retreating from early medical interventions for gender dysphoria.

Trump Administration Aims to Cut Funding for All Sex-Rejecting Interventions
The Trump administration is proposing a new rule that would end Medicare and Medicaid coverage for all sex-rejecting interventions on minors, including puberty blockers and sex-rejecting hormones for those under 18 and CHIP coverage for those under 19.
By encouraging hospital participation in federal programs to enact this restriction, the administration aims to remove taxpayer-funded support for sex-rejecting interventions. While the rule has not yet been finalized, it underscores a broader effort to ensure that government funds are not used in ways that harms children.
