Parents, Beware of Gender Ideology on College Campuses!

College environments play a significant role in shaping identity development for students already struggling with sex-identity distress and pressure parents to adopt to campus culture and policies. For some families, college planning involves weighing not only academic opportunities but also the broader social environment and its potential impact on student well-being.

Stella O’Malley shares Genspect’s college rating, which compiles information about universities nationwide, including their policies, housing and health regulations, and campus culture, to help families make informed decisions. It may serve as a helpful tool for parents whose child is struggling with sex-identity distress or may be easily influenced by gender ideology, as they evaluate which college environment may best support their child.

Kansas Judge Blocked State Help Not Harm Act

A Kansas judge has temporarily blocked enforcement of a state law prohibiting sex-rejecting medical interventions for minors, which took effect in February 2025, when Kansas became the 27th state to enact legislation aimed at protecting minors from harmful sex-rejecting medical interventions.

The judge sided with two parents whose children identify as the opposite sex, finding that those challenging the law are likely to succeed in arguing that it violates protections under the Kansas Constitution. The decision pauses enforcement while legal challenges continue.
