EU Censors Debate Over the Definition of Sexes at the UN
Last Friday, the European Union used a procedural move at the UN Commission on the Status of Women to block debate on a U.S. resolution that would have defined gender strictly as “male” and “female.”
Supporters of the proposal argued the measure would reaffirm biological sex in UN policy, but EU officials introduced a “no-action motion” that stopped the proposal from even being discussed. However, the close vote to use the motion showed that a growing number of UN member states are seeking to stop the infiltration of gender ideology.
HRC Pressures Companies to Adopt Sex-Rejecting Policies
A new report by Them Before Us argues that the Human Rights Campaign uses its Corporate Equality Index to pressure companies into adopting policies that promote sex-rejecting interventions for minors and implement practices such as surrogacy and IVF.
Companies earn high scores by providing “transgender-inclusive” health coverage and funding advocacy groups that support these harmful interventions on children. As a result, Katy Faust argues that everyday consumer spending may indirectly support these policies through corporations seeking high equality ratings.
New Tennessee Senate Bill Allows Detransitioners to Sue Doctors for ‘Coercion’
This Monday, the Tennessee Senate passed SB 2031—a bill allowing patients to sue doctors who “coerced” them into pursuing sex-rejecting interventions, with a statute of limitations extending up to 30 years after the interventions were performed.
The measure would give recourse to victims of these harmful interventions, including detransitioners. Critics argue the bill is too “vague” and could expose doctors to lawsuits without clear evidence of wrongdoing, while dismissing the growing number of evidence that those both chemical and surgical intervention pose many extensive medical risks, particularly to minors.
