Allies and friends,

We are thrilled to share a monumental victory for children and their families. In a 6–3 decision, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in United States v. Skrmetti to uphold Tennessee’s ban on sex-rejecting interventions for minors.

This is a HUGE win—and ACPeds applauds the Court for recognizing the harm of these procedures. Our amicus brief played a key role in highlighting the scientific and medical evidence behind protecting vulnerable youth.

Also in this week’s update: Colorado enacts alarming new rules forcing Christian camps to comply with gender ideology or face closure, and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles announces it will shut down its youth clinic performing harmful transgender procedures—though primarily to avoid losing federal funding.

These stories show both the momentum building for truth—and the ongoing threats to biological reality and religious liberty.

Sincerely,

The Biological Integrity Team

Though this is something to be celebrated, the hospital’s decision was primarily driven by fear of losing federal funding. Unsurprisingly, activists pushed back and criticized the closure, calling it a “dangerous precedent.”

Colorado Puts Ideology Before Religious Freedom

Colorado Gov. Jared Polis has implemented new state regulations requiring Christian camps and businesses to accept individuals based on “gender identity,” not biological sex, effectively forcing them to allow boys into girls’ restrooms, cabins, and showers—or face loss of licensure.

Alliance Defending Freedom called this a dangerous step that prioritizes gender ideology over religious liberty. ADF has filed a lawsuit on behalf of the camps to protect their right to operate in accordance with their beliefs.
