Legal Battles Over Parental Rights Continue Across the Nation

A recent Epoch Times report examines ongoing legal battles involving parents who have lost custody of, or access to, their children after declining to give into transgender ideology and affirm their child as the opposite sex.

The article highlights several family court and child welfare cases, as well as legislative efforts in states such as New Hampshire, Ohio, and Washington addressing parental rights and sex-rejecting medical interventions for minors. Advocates and parents interviewed seek to draw attention to policies that undermine parental authority. These cases are increasingly moving into state legislatures and may ultimately reach the U.S. Supreme Court.

Puberty Blocker Research Continues to Receive Federal Funding

This February, the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) approved more than $720,000 to fund research related to sex-rejecting chemical interventions for minors, despite the Trump administration’s stated opposition to such practices.

The project summary states: “The proposed project examines the effects of pubertal suppression treatment on the mental health of transgender adolescents over time.”

According to a statement given to The Daily Wire, HHS acknowledged that the experimental nature of this research had been underestimated and stated that, following its most recent report in November 2025, puberty blockers should not be administered as treatment for minors with sex-identity distress. However, the research project continues to receive federal funding.

Boston Transgender Pride Event Denies Biological Reality

Boston Mayor Michelle Wu promoted an annual “Trans Period Pride” event at a public library, featuring a discussion with the MA Trans Political Coalition on “trans menstruators” and offering free period products.

This event is an example of how Pride Month activism has moved further away from biological reality and seeks to infiltrate public spaces where children and families come to learn. In major progressive cities, the transgender movement has pushed to add menstrual products to male restrooms to “accommodate biological females who identify as male.” This approach further blurs the lines of biological truth and real differences between the sexes.
