The Department of Health and Human Services under the Trump administration is finalizing a rule to block federal funding from hospitals that provide harmful sex-based medical procedures on minors, signaling a major policy shift.

In Massachusetts, parents are petitioning the Supreme Court after discovering that their child’s school facilitated a social gender transition in secret—without their knowledge or consent.

Meanwhile, in Louisiana, a pastor was fired from his public library job after refusing to use transgender pronouns, standing firm on his convictions about truth and free speech.

HHS and Trump Admin Move to Cut Federal Funding from Gender Clinics

The Department of Health and Human Services under the Trump administration is finalizing a rule that would prohibit federal funding through Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) to any hospital that provides chemical or surgical mutilations to minors.

Parents Petition SCOTUS to Stop Secret Social Transitions of Children

Two Massachusetts parents have petitioned the U.S. Supreme Court, asking it to block Ludlow Public Schools from secretly facilitating their middle-school child’s social transition to a nonbinary identity without their knowledge or consent.

They argue that the district’s actions undermine parental rights and pose risks to their child’s mental health. Their case follows a similar complaint filed by another set of parents against the same district in 2022.

Ash, who also serves as lead pastor at a local church, said he “will not lie” by using pronouns he believes are incorrect, framing the refusal as a matter of religious conviction and free speech.
