ACPeds has joined seven states in a lawsuit against a Biden Administration Health and Human Services rule change that would force doctors to provide and promote transgender interventions including “social transitions.”
“Doctors should never be forced to violate their sound medical judgement and perform life-altering and sterilizing interventions on their patients,” said Executive Director of ACPeds Dr. Jill Simons.
UK Health Secretary Intends to Permanently Ban Puberty Blockers
The UK’s Health Secretary, Wes Streeting, has made it clear that he intends to make the NHS halt on puberty blockers a permanent ban across the public and private sector.
Streeting said he would “always put the safety of children first.” This is a significant step, especially from within the Labour Party, and should continue to fuel similar action in the U.S..
We know the tides are turning in our favor when a New York Times columnist writes a scathing analysis of the U.S.’s inability to respond to evidence and European action with the halting of harmful “affirming care.”
