This past week was full of incredible federal and legislative actions in the mission to protect children from the harms of gender ideology.

Federal Action to Protect Children: U.S. Department of Health and Human Services leaders unveiled a plan to restore ethical, evidence-based pediatric care and announced action to prohibit hospitals from performing sex-rejecting procedures on minors.

House Passes Do No Harm Act: The U.S. House of Representatives passed the Do No Harm in Medicaid Act to stop taxpayer dollars from funding medically unnecessary and irreversible procedures on children.

Citizen Petition Urges FDA Accountability: A formal petition calls on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to hold a public hearing and review the off-label use of estrogen in young males.

HHS Acts to Prohibit Hospitals from Performing Sex-Rejecting Procedures

Last Thursday, leaders from HHS and NIH hosted “Protecting Children,” an impressive panel outlining major goals and action plans to restore safe, ethical, and evidence-based practices in pediatric medicine. “The American College of Pediatricians (ACPeds) applauds this action by HHS as a necessary step in preventing hospitals across the U.S. from performing harmful chemical and surgical interventions on minors. These procedures are irreversible, unethical, and ideologically driven.”
