Last Thursday, ACPeds released a new fact sheet, “Male Participation in Female Sports: How Sports Performance is Impacted by Biological Sex.” The fact sheet presents scientific evidence that males have anatomical and physiological advantages over females. You can access this fact sheet and others on our resources page.
Last week, the Eighth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld Arkansas’s 2021 SAFE Act. Arkansas was the first state to introduce legislation protecting minors from these harmful interventions, though the act was later blocked by a federal judge until last week. Today, 27 states impose full bans on such sex-trait interventions for minors.
Do No Harm released a 36-page report exposing how the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) uses its Healthcare Equality Index to influence pediatric hospitals to adopt policies promoting gender ideology.

NEW FACT SHEET: Male Participation in Female Sports
Last Thursday, ACPeds’ Scientific Committee released its newest fact sheet, “Male Participation in Female Sports: How Sports Performance is Impacted by Biological Sex.”
The fact sheet presents scientific evidence showing that males have anatomical and physiological advantages over females, highlighting why this is a critical issue in female athletics today.
ACPeds urges states to prohibit biological males from competing in female sports and from entering girls’ changing spaces in order to protect girls’ safety, fairness, and dignity.
Eighth Circuit Upholds Arkansas SAFE Act
August 12, the full Eighth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld Arkansas’s 2021 SAFE Act, which bans puberty blockers, hormones, and gender-affirming surgeries for minors. This decision follows the recent Supreme Court ruling in U.S. v. Skrmetti.
ACPeds applauded the ruling, noting that most children outgrow gender dysphoria when supported through natural puberty and urging other states and courts to protect children from “destructive and often irreversible interventions.”
Report That Exposes HRC Influence on Children’s Hospitals
Last Thursday, Do No Harm released a 36-page report exposing how the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) uses its Healthcare Equality Index to influence pediatric hospitals to adopt policies promoting gender ideology—such as LGBTQ+ training for leaders and coverage for puberty blockers for minors.
The report warns that these measures pressure hospitals into providing sex‑change interventions for minors, calling on healthcare systems to cut ties with the HRC to prevent further harm.
