Allies and friends,

Major developments are underway in the national conversation around pediatric gender medicine. The HHS is set to release a highly anticipated systematic review on April 28, as directed by a recent executive order. This government-led review will critically evaluate existing practices and expose the lack of scientific rigor behind WPATH.

A recent review published in Frontiers in Endocrinology raises serious concerns about fertility preservation procedures for minors with gender dysphoria. The authors argue that these interventions can disrupt healthy physiological development and may lead to permanent sterilization.

In Alaska, the State Medical Board has unanimously recommended that the legislature impose restrictions on gender transition procedures for minors, instead advocating for psychological counseling as a safer alternative.

Sincerely,

A Review That Will End WPATH

Section 3(a)(ii) of the President’s Executive Order directs the Secretary of HHS to “publish a review of existing literature on best practices for supporting children with gender dysphoria” within 90 days.

It is confirmed that HHS will publish a systematic review on April 28th. This rigorous, government-led scientific assessment is expected to upend the current landscape of gender-related medical practices. It will expose the lack of evidence and scientific integrity behind WPATH’s so-called Standards of Care, prompting significant changes in institutions that have relied on WPATH’s guidance.

Fertility Preservation in Gender-Dysphoric Youth

A recent review in Frontiers in Endocrinology examines the complications of fertility preservation (FP) when used on youth with gender dysphoria.

The authors argue that such interventions disrupt healthy physiological development and may result in sterilization, challenging the claim that they are ‘medically necessary’. They caution that framing these treatments as fertility-preserving misrepresents the evidence and constitutes harm to vulnerable minors.
